To say this gardening and farming year has been a roller coaster barely scratches the surface of how it’s truly felt.

Life with two under two has been a steep learning curve—restarting a business in a new place, and learning a whole new piece of earth. We moved from the Carolinas to Tennessee this past fall, and this has been my first full growing season here. It’s been equal parts fun and challenging, but more than anything I’ve been searching for the right spot to call mine: a place to grow the business, build the land, and truly begin creating a home for The Wild Bloom Garden and Farm Café.

I can finally say it with pride: I’ve acquired land and a home for the business. A little over an acre, right in the heart of Memphis. It will become a direct resource for food, herbs, baked goods, volunteer opportunities, a café, and so much more. I am so proud. There’s endless work ahead—work on a farm is never finished—but I finally have a place to plant roots and start connecting with my local community.

Making a mark in Tennessee is exactly what I set out to do. It won’t be easy, but it will be completely worth it.

Until Next Time,

Serena, The Wild Bloom Garden!

Memphis, TN.
